Welcome to Lawrence County!
Lawrence County
Still Building . . .
For nearly 200 years, Lawrence County, Indiana, the "Limestone Capital of the World", has provided Bedford Limestone and Oolitic Stone to build some of our nation’s principal buildings, including the Pentagon, the Empire State Building, and the National Cathedral.

While Lawrence County is still a leader in the Limestone Industry, we have developed expertise in automotive manufacturing as well as the defense research and development industries. The Lawrence County Growth Council is focused on building successful businesses, creating opportunities to learn and grow, and providing a high standard of living for the residence of Lawrence County.
Over the last two years PRD has worked closely with Shance and the Lawrence County Economic Growth Council to complete two expansions to our facility and begin a third.  This would not have happened in Lawrence County without the help of the LCEGC. PRD owns land in another county, but by their efforts, it was decided to expand locally instead of moving a part of the operation elsewhere.
